Whew!!!! 2023 is a wrap but the good news is that all of the easy plant-based recipes that we loved can still be found at the Black Girls Eat Website. Thanks to everyone for sending in photos and notes about these recipes. I had fun making them and eating them! Lol.
As a plant-based advocate, I’m on a mission to help you find ways to get more fruits, grains and vegetables on your plate. We can do that together and without the stress and drama. No counting calories, no fancy stuff….just me and you exploring the world of plants and having a good time doing it. So here are the faves of 2023. It’s not a list of worst to best. They are all so yummy so don’t pay any attention to the order of the recipes!
The Breakfast Board
Not really a recipe but a wonderful way to start the day. Take what you already have in the fridge, find a cute platter and get your creative display skills on!
Sea Moss Banana Smoothie
We learned a lot about Sea Moss this year and we are still learning about how its essential nutrients are making a difference for so many. Banana pumps up the volume and makes this smoothie a fave.
White Bean Salad
This one was perfect in summer and then we realized we could have it all year round. White beans, salad greens and sun dried tomatoes. Try it as a side or a main entree.
Sweet Potato Hummus
Sweet potato and a can of chickpeas are a match made in plant-based heaven. Enjoy getting two plants on your plate at once!
Vegan Coquito
Just in time for the holiday season! Make this classic and skip the dairy products. You won’t miss it.
Cheese Free Quesadilla
Made with just an avocado and a can of white beans. A perfect way to go dairy free whenever you want to!
